The Kings of K-Pop are officially returning to the global stage. G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG are reuniting for the highly anticipated BIGBANG 20/26 World Tour, marking the group’s 20th anniversary and their first major world tour since 2017. Following their show-stopping reunion at Coachella 2026, the trio is set to embark on a massive 31-date stadium trek spanning four continents, proving that their influence remains as powerful as ever.
A Monumental Coachella Announcement
The build-up to this historic tour began in the California desert. During the second weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2026, BIGBANG delivered a performance that spanned their entire career, from early classics to their 2022 reunion single “Still Life” and recent tracks like “Home Sweet Home.”
It was from the Coachella stage that G-DRAGON broke the news directly to the crowd. “This is just the beginning. We got something special to announce for the first time right here at Coachella,” he declared. “BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary world tour will begin this August. It’s going to be crazy. Do not miss out.” This moment set the K-Pop world ablaze, confirming what fans had been hoping for since the group’s hiatus.
Two Decades of Defining K-Pop
Debuting under YG Entertainment in August 2006, BIGBANG is widely credited with transforming K-Pop from a domestic South Korean phenomenon into a global cultural force. Long before the current era of international K-Pop dominance, BIGBANG was breaking records and pushing boundaries.
Their catalog, featuring generation-defining hits like “Lies,” “Haru Haru,” “Fantastic Baby,” and “Bang Bang Bang,” showcased a self-styled, performance-driven approach that seamlessly blended hip-hop, R&B, and electronic pop. In 2011, they won the inaugural Best Worldwide Act trophy at the MTV Europe Music Awards, and in 2012, they became the first K-Pop group to chart an album on the Billboard 200 with ALIVE.
A Global Stadium Run Across Four Continents
The 20/26 World Tour, promoted by AEG Presents, is designed to match the scale of BIGBANG’s legacy. The tour officially kicks off with a three-night residency at Goyang Stadium in South Korea from August 21 to 23, 2026. From there, the group will head to North America, performing at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on September 5 and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on September 11.
The European leg features monumental stops at the Stade de France in Paris on September 19 and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on September 26. The extensive Asian and Oceanian schedule includes major venues such as the Taipei Dome, Singapore National Stadium, Sydney’s Accor Stadium, Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium, and Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium.
Japan receives the largest allocation with 10 shows across four dome venues: Kyocera Dome Osaka, Vantelin Dome Nagoya, Tokyo Dome, and Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka. The tour wraps in February 2027 with two nights at the Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taiwan, bringing the total to 31 stadium-level performances across 16 cities.
Ticket Demand Reaches Fever Pitch
Demand for the 20/26 World Tour has already reached unprecedented levels. Tickets for the North American and European dates went on general sale on June 26, 2026, following a dedicated V.I.P Membership Presale that began June 24. AEG Presents described the tour as “one of the most significant live music events of 2026 for global fans and a historic new chapter for one of the most influential groups in modern music.”
With average ticket prices hovering around $97 and premium VIP seating exceeding $200, fans scrambled to secure their spots across all announced dates. An additional Oakland show on September 4 was added shortly after the initial announcement, signaling the extraordinary demand for this reunion tour.
The Trio Carries the Legacy Forward
While former members T.O.P and Seungri are not participating, the trio of G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG are ready to carry the BIGBANG name forward with full force. YG Entertainment’s representative told Rolling Stone the production would be among the most ambitious the group has ever mounted, with a creative vision spanning the group’s full two decades.
Their Coachella performance in April offered perhaps the clearest preview of the tour’s setlist register, featuring songs spanning nearly their entire career. For V.I.P.s who have waited nearly a decade for a global tour, the return of BIGBANG to the world’s biggest stages represents the ultimate celebration of 20 years of musical innovation, genre-bending artistry, and cultural impact that reshaped the entire K-Pop landscape.
