Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has once again proven their global dominance, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with their highly anticipated 8th mini album, 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns. The album earned an impressive 69,000 equivalent album units in its first week, solidifying the group’s position as one of the most formidable forces in the international music scene. This milestone marks TXT’s eighth top five entry on the main albums chart, tying the record for the most top five albums on the Billboard 200 by any K-pop artist.

A Historic Run on the Billboard Charts

The success of 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns extends beyond the Billboard 200. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, making it the best-selling album of the week in the United States. With this achievement, TXT has made history as the first K-pop artist ever to score nine No. 1 albums on the Top Album Sales chart. Of the 69,000 equivalent album units, 67,000 came from traditional album sales and 2,000 from streaming equivalent album units, translating to 2.67 million on-demand audio streams during the tracking week ending April 23.

The album placed behind country singer Ella Langley’s Dandelion at No. 1 and Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem at No. 2. Notably, labelmate BTS’s Arirang held the No. 4 spot the same week with 62,000 equivalent album units, meaning two HYBE acts occupied half of the Billboard 200’s top four positions simultaneously.

The Emotional Depth of “Stick With You”

The album’s title track, “Stick With You” (하루에 하루만 더), serves as the emotional core of the release. Blending Electro Pop with techno punk elements and vintage 909 drum sounds, the song captures the poignant desire to hold onto a love that is nearing its end. The desperation to cling to a fading relationship mirrors the group’s own determination to hold onto their dreams and move forward together. The track holds special significance as it reflects the current state of the group after all members renewed their contracts with BIGHIT MUSIC, signaling a long-term commitment to their artistry and their fans.

Music Show Grand Slam in a Single Week

The domestic response to the new album has been equally overwhelming. TXT achieved a “Music Show Grand Slam” with “Stick With You,” sweeping first place on all five major Korean music programs within a single promotional week. The victories came on Show Champion (April 22), M Countdown (April 23), Music Bank (April 24), Music Core (April 25), and Inkigayo (April 26). This clean sweep underscores the group’s dominance on the Korean music scene and the strong reception from both fans and the general public.

Beyond the music shows, the album secured a double crown on the Circle Weekly Chart, topping both the album chart and the download chart with the title track. All six songs from the mini album ranked on the global K-pop chart, the download chart, and the BGM chart, demonstrating the depth and appeal of the entire tracklist.

Unprecedented Chart Domination in Japan

TXT’s popularity in Japan continues to reach new heights. 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns achieved a triple crown on the Oricon chart, topping the Weekly Combined Album, Weekly Album, and Weekly Western Music Album rankings. This accomplishment makes TXT the first foreign artist in history to top the Oricon Weekly Chart with 14 consecutive albums. The album also secured a double crown on the Billboard Japan chart, dominating the Top Album Sales and Download Album categories. The title track “Stick With You” topped the LINE Music Weekly Song Chart as well, proving the group’s crossover appeal across multiple platforms in the Japanese market.

A New Chapter After Seven Years

Released on April 13, 2026, 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns marks a pivotal moment in TXT’s career. As they celebrate their 7th anniversary, the album showcases a more nocturnal and introspective sound, trading the urgency of earlier releases for stillness and leaning into techno-inflected electronic production. With members Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai all having renewed their contracts, this release not only cements their current success but also signals an exciting future for Tomorrow X Together and their dedicated fanbase, MOA. The numbers speak for themselves: eight top five Billboard 200 entries, nine No. 1 albums on Top Album Sales, and a global fanbase that continues to grow with every release.
