BTS La Plata Setlist and ARIRANG Live Viewing: Everything to Know

BTS La Plata Setlist and ARIRANG Live Viewing: Everything to Know

BTS are closing out three sold-out nights at Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona in La Plata, Argentina, on Saturday, Oct. 24, and the official Live Viewing page lists that show as a live cinema event. BroadwayWorld reports that the Buenos Aires concert reaches theaters on Oct. 24 in the Americas and Oct. 25 in the rest of the world.

This guide pulls together the setlist, the surprise songs so far, the screening details and what comes next in São Paulo, using only details confirmed by at least two sources.

Key facts

  • Venue and dates: BTS play Estadio Único in La Plata on Oct. 21, 23 and 24, and Rolling Stone en Español says all three shows are sold out.
  • Cinema broadcast: the Oct. 24 show is screened as part of “BTS World Tour ‘ARIRANG’ in Buenos Aires & São Paulo: Live Viewing,” presented by Trafalgar Releasing, HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC (BroadwayWorld).
  • Surprise songs so far: “Hold Me Tight” and “Dionysus” on night one, “Attack on Bangtan” and “Epilogue: Young Forever” on night two (btsboy setlist tracker).
  • Next stop: São Paulo on Oct. 28, 30 and 31, with the Oct. 30 show also screened live in cinemas (WION).
  • Scale: the three La Plata shows are expected to gather more than 150,000 fans in total (0221).

What Happened in La Plata So Far

The run began on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Korea Portal describes a 23-song show of nearly three hours on a 360-degree stage, with screens arranged around it like a boxing ring and opening dancers in black ninja-style outfits and red hoods.

The same review reports that the members walked the field perimeter during “Idol,” and that members wore Argentina national-team-style jerseys during “Come Over,” with V in number 10. 0221 adds that Jimin and Jin wore looks in the colors of the national flag.

Jungkook spoke in Spanish early in the night. 0221 quotes him as saying, “Es nuestra primera vez en Buenos Aires, así que hagamos que esta noche sea especial,” which roughly means it is the group’s first time in Buenos Aires and they want to make the night special.

These are the first Argentine concerts with all seven members, according to Latin Times. Sports Kyunghyang likewise notes that Colombia and Argentina are the first countries where BTS has performed as a full group.

Minuto Uno reported that V sang lines from “Muchachos,” the Argentine national team’s World Cup anthem, and drew a huge reaction. The same article says he asked the crowd, “¿Y si nos tomamos unos mates?” and sang the melody of a hit by La Mosca that sparked a stadium-wide chant.

The report also describes a pause of about ten minutes after the first songs because fans near the front barrier were pressing forward. Staff turned on the lights, medical teams handed out water and removed several fans who were dizzy or unwell, and the show resumed once the area cleared.

The article does not say clearly which night that pause happened, so we are not assigning it to one date. Our own search found no report of serious injuries. On night one, 0221 also reports the band asking fans to avoid pushing.

Other quotes come from that first night. Korea Portal says RM told the crowd in Spanish that it took 13 years to get there, “tardamos 13 años en llegar,” and that V called the audience the best.

The Setlist and Surprise Songs

The show is built around a mostly fixed set. For night one, Korea Portal lists “Hooligan,” “Aliens,” “Run BTS,” “They Don’t Know ‘Bout Us,” “Like Animals,” “Fake Love,” “Swim,” “Merry Go Round,” “Not Today,” “MIC Drop,” “FYA,” “Burning Up (FIRE),” “Body to Body,” “Normal,” “Idol,” “Come Over,” “Please” and “Into the Sun.”

Sources differ on a few slots. 0221 also names “Butter,” “Dynamite” and “Arirang” in the closing stretch, so treat the order of the final songs as approximate until an official setlist appears.

Two songs rotate each night. According to the btsboy tracker, the surprise songs were “Hold Me Tight” and “Dionysus” on Oct. 21, then “Attack on Bangtan” and “Epilogue: Young Forever” on Oct. 23. The same page says “Hold Me Tight” was performed for the first time since 2016 on night one.

Korea Portal adds that the first-night surprise songs were chosen by the DJ from fan signs during soundcheck, an option tied to a higher-priced ticket. Fans had also requested “21st Century Girl,” “Ma City” and “Cypher Pt. 3,” which were not played that night.

The tracker lists the Oct. 24 surprise songs as not played yet at the time it was checked, so those two slots are the open question for the finale and for cinema audiences.

Watch the Trailer and How the Cinema Broadcast Works

BTS’ official YouTube channel posted a “Special Trailer” for the Buenos Aires and São Paulo broadcasts on Oct. 14. The video showed 835,921 views in the channel’s RSS feed when we checked it late on Oct. 24 (UTC).

The trailer’s end card confirms the two broadcast dates: Saturday, Oct. 24 live from Buenos Aires and Friday, Oct. 30 live from São Paulo. It also points viewers to btsliveviewing.com for tickets and screening details.

BroadwayWorld says the Buenos Aires event is shown on Saturday, Oct. 24 in the Americas and Sunday, Oct. 25 in the rest of the world. It lists the São Paulo event as Friday, Oct. 30 in the Americas and Saturday, Oct. 31 elsewhere.

Exact showtimes vary by territory. Both BroadwayWorld and WION say some regions, including Korea and Australia, get the screening a day or so later because of time differences.

Cinema counts differ between outlets. BroadwayWorld cites more than 3,700 cinemas in over 85 territories, while WION and Latin Times describe roughly 80 or more countries and regions. All agree it is a very wide release.

This is the fourth and fifth live viewing event of the tour, after Goyang and Tokyo in April and Busan’s Asiad Main Stadium in June, per BroadwayWorld. We covered the earlier Busan event in our BTS ARIRANG Busan live viewing report.

Runtime is not confirmed. Latin Times lists 3 hours and 15 minutes while other sources give no figure, so check your local cinema listing before you book.

Chart and Tour Context

The ARIRANG tour began on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, and covers 34 cities, according to WION. Our earlier report on the Goyang opening and its 360-degree stage describes the stage design that has travelled with the tour.

On the charts, Sports Kyunghyang reported on Oct. 4 that the album ARIRANG ranked No. 3 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global for Sept. 25 to Oct. 1, and that “SWIM” reached No. 24 on Weekly Top Songs Global. Those figures are specific to that tracking week.

Demand has stayed high across the Latin American leg. The same report cites Ticketmaster Brasil saying more than 630,000 people joined the São Paulo fan-club presale over two days, and PROMPERÚ saying the Lima waiting list passed 521,000.

For the European leg, our Madrid coverage covers the 66,000-fan Spanish debut, and BTS posted an official Europe leg sketch on Oct. 1.

How Fans Are Reacting

Argentine coverage keeps returning to the 13-year wait. 0221 reports fans from other provinces and countries gathering near the stadium from early in the day, lining up in the rain, trading souvenirs and holding signs that referenced Lionel Messi and mate.

Korea Portal says the “ARMY Time” segment put fan banners on the stadium screens, and that fans stayed in their seats after the members left. The same review gave the show 8 out of 10 and noted that talk-heavy stretches cost some momentum.

In Peru, Sports Kyunghyang adds that fans organized what it calls the first BTS tribute drone show in South America at Costa Verde in Lima, backed by more than 25,000 entries gathered online. We did not verify fan comments on the trailer or on social media for this report.

What’s Next

BTS head to São Paulo for concerts on Oct. 28, 30 and 31, according to Rolling Stone en Español and WION. The Oct. 30 show is the second broadcast in the live viewing pair, with the rest-of-world screening on Oct. 31.

If you want to see the Buenos Aires show in a theater, the official source for locations, showtimes and tickets is btsliveviewing.com. Surprise songs for the finale will be added to fan trackers once the show ends, so check for updates after the broadcast.
